IRIS — Insurance Reimbursement Intelligence Search
IRIS (Insurance Reimbursement Intelligence Search) is a deterministic search layer over the BillingBench verified corpus. Query by payer name, denial code, procedure type, or billing concept and IRIS returns a structured result with the relevant policy rule, timely filing deadline, appeal strategy, or CARC code guidance — cited to a primary source.
Current corpus: 278 CARC denial codes with cause, fix, and appeal language; timely filing windows for 20+ national and regional payers; CARC-specific appeal frameworks for all appealable denial codes; and modifier ruling summaries. Every result identifies the source (payer policy, CMS regulation, or statute) with a link to the primary document. IRIS does not generate answers from language model inference — every result is a deterministic lookup from the verified BillingBench data layer.
IRIS is also available in the BillingBench browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, where it can be queried directly from any payer portal without switching tabs. Missed queries (queries that return no result) are logged as telemetry to inform future corpus expansion.
